Cornerstone’s Nursery strategy is and was designed to provide the majority of the plants and trees that we install in our Commercial and Residential Landscape Divisions. In doing so, we have created a plant palette of woody ornamentals and trees commonly used by a great percentage of commercial and residential builders and homeowners today. Our primary products include: wide selections of broadleaf evergreen and deciduous shrubs, multiple varieties of ornamental grasses, a full complement of bedding plants, as well as Florida native and other species of trees and plants. Cornerstone began to offer Nursery stock to other Landscapers on the wholesale market, and now we offer these same materials to the retail market as well in Jacksonville.
Cornerstone’s retail (as well as wholesale) Nursery in Jacksonville provides these materials – along with staff that can provide conceptual design services (and installation for larger stock) – for individuals and/or homeowners and property owners interested in “do it yourself” and similar projects. Installing new landscape means something different to everybody. Just as some individuals find tranquility by sitting at the beach; others find it in sports activities, hiking in the mountains, or attending a symphony concert; we recognize that horticulture also covers a broad range of personal interests. Our staff can help you find the right landscape to put in the right locations depicting your individual style – at the right price. You may find cheaper woody ornamental plants and trees at the “big box” stores or other flashy retail nurseries, but you won’t find the hearty, well-fed quality materials that will last through the drastic Florida seasons we experience every year.
Whether purchasing wholesale or retail, our trees and plant material are grown by the finest nurserymen and given supreme care all the way from propagation to pick up at our facilities or via our delivery to our customer’s doorstep. We offer types of trees for every need. You will find a tree species that can fill a fall landscape with gorgeous color or find a tree that does not shed its leaves for those who despise raking. Our trees provide boundary delineation, windbreaks and privacy. Planting a tree for any need is a reward on at least two levels. First, our environment is enhanced. Secondly, the tree helps provide for a cleaner atmosphere and further stabilization of potential erosion and therefore cleaner water in our rivers, lakes, streams and aquifers.
