Cornerstone

Born in Palm Harbor, Florida Justin Floyd was raised in and around the construction business.  His father Bob has been a licensed general contractor for over forty years.  With a passion for building things, Justin always jumped at the chance to go to the jobsite with his dad, where he knew there would be large treasure piles of scrap lumber and concrete blocks, just waiting to be transformed into something new.  His dad taught him early how to use tools to form and shape the things that you envision in your mind.  More importantly he learned early that the foundation for a successful project would always come down to the quality and integrity of the builder. 

From the time Justin reached high school and all through college he managed jobs for his father.  Projects from large custom homes to commercial buildings presented a wealth of opportunities to learn not only different construction techniques, but the value of leadership.  Today, those leadership skills are evident, not only the products produced by Cornerstone, but in the lives of those who are impacted by it.

To date, Justin has built over 400 custom and production homes, multiple commercial buildings and amenities centers, along with several communities throughout the Central Florida Area. His former experience includes working as a Project Manager with a custom home builder in the Tampa Bay area and as a Production Manager for M/I Homes of Tampa Bay for five years. He joined the Cornerstone team in 2007 to head up the construction department.  In 2009, Justin took over the role of CEO of Cornerstone while he continues to oversee the day to day operations of the construction department. Justin graduated from Saint Petersburg College.

Justin resides in Land O’ Lakes with his wife Amber who is an elementary school teacher and they recently were blessed in welcoming their first child, Aubrey into the world in April of this year.  Justin is a member of Grace Family Church, where he has been heading up the building committee for the “Dream Center” project in Ybor City.  He also is involved in LifeWork Leadership, Habitat for Humanity, the Tampa Bay Builders Association and several other charities and organizations in the Tampa Bay Area.
